“TAKE HEED”

Brethren, can us just see and feel the Love of God reaching down to you, and we can thank God for His Word, and His Wisdom to His Children, for His leading & guidance. Several time, in the Word of God we can read, “Those who have ears to hear, hear.”

34-"And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkeness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. 

35- For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. 

36- Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man" (Luke 21:34-36).

A couple Sundays, the Lord took me to this Scripture to preach a message, for the morning's service. In a nutshell, for the sake of bringing forth the message's truth, in abbreviated form, we can look at two Scriptures in God's Word, what constitutes snares. We can look at Genesis 3:1-6, which reads, 

"1- Now the serpent was more than subtle than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? 

2- And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: 

3- But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. 

4- And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:  

5- For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then you eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

PLEASE TAKE NOTE OF VERSE 

6- And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit there of, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. "Now lets read 1 John 2:15-17, which reads, "Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 

16- For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but of the world. 

17- And the world passes away and the lust thereof: but he who does the Will of God abides forever."

Can you see with Spiritual eyes, Jesus's warning to his Children (Jesus is speaking to the Church)? What did Eve say? 

Verse 6 reads, "And when the woman saw ("lust of the flesh") that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes ("lust of the eyes"), and a tree to be desired to make one wise ("pride of life"), she took of the fruit there of, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat." Brethren, the Love of God is so immense, so big, that He has given us His Word, to guide, teach and lead us. All of us humans, even Born Again humans, are drawn by what is included in 1 John 2:15-17. The Apostle John revealed this great Truth, to help us recognize just what is a snare, and Christ Jesus warned us with the Word "TAKE HEED," and "PRAY THAT YOU ESCAPE THEM." "Those who have ears to hear, hear."
